I had this idea in my head for months but we could never get our act together to pull it off. Either we would have the truck and not the camera or the other way around. Finally it all just came together perfectly. Kennon was an awesome sport except for the fact he would not stop eating the dirt. The first one is a tiny bit blurry, but I don't care..... I am his Mommy and just love those un-edited blue eyes.

Just in time
This shot was funny because he was just hanging out for a long time. My neighbor ran in to get her camera and took a bunch. I didn't want to because I knew as soon as I went in got the camera, put the lens on, and set it the mantis would move. She showed me one of hers on her screen, so I had to go in. Sure enough this is the one and only shot I got.... because he moved as soon as I got there ;)

You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty.
You know someone or two. I guarantee it.
I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the chance to experience complimentary custom photography -- $175.00 worth, to be exact. They will receive a free session with $100 print credit.
Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the winner receives a $50 print credit. What better reason to show some love could there possibly be, people?
The rules:
* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does not qualify as sincere financial need.)
* The nominee must reside in [Okinawa]. Tell me who you know, what they're experiencing, and why they deserve my photography. Please include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.
* You must e-mail me the full story : [OkiDokiPhotography@yahoo.com].
The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve -- get nominating! I can't wait to read all of your entries!
Open your heart to someone this holiday season -- and thanks for giving me the opportunity to open mine.
With love,
[Laurie]
