Emergency

The other day we were watching the little old Japanese women go into the Crows Nest to play Bingo.  My husband looks at me and said "you would make the worst bingo player, because you are so unlucky".  I looked at him and said yes I am the most unlucky when it comes to lotto, guessing on a test, or bingo.  I am however lucky in life... I have the most amazing husband ( he can be a terd sometimes though), three amazing little kids (who can also be terds), I have a amazing job (every now and again I get a terd client), I live in an amazing place (even though base housing stinks) and just all around pretty darn happy. Exhausted but pretty darn happy. Then I had to go and jinks things....

So I was at home waiting for a client to come when my husband's Msgt comes by and say "how much do you love your husband"  WHAT!!!  He can be kinda of sarcastic (like me)... so I said Why???... because he is in the ER.  He twisted his ankle.. he described it as his left foot is facing right.  So two minutes after hearing this my client comes (sorry I shoved you out the door) and did the mad scramble looking for shoes, diapers, keys, and most important the glorified chew toy....my cell phone.  No Luck so I ran out the door.

So I get there and and I turn the corner and I see this guy with this nasty injury to the foot... horrified I looked at the other foot.  OHH NOO that is Matthew's shoe.  Braylen is like that's Daddy.  It so much worse than I expected it to be...   Matthew was doing good though... he was doped up and a little shaky from being cold.

So I go down the list of who I can dump my kids on Krystal, Jamie, Victoria.... So I stop by Jamie's first.  Braylen likes her because she took good care of her when she threw up... she lets me know any time I mention Jamie.  NOT HOME!!!!  Then I am like I will chuck them at the babysitter and hope for the best... but then my neighbor who the kids actually like the best (Hidden Eyes Photography) saves the day.  She takes them in and at some point Jack busted his head.  Hopefully he wakes up in the morning..... Back to Matt.

So when I originally got to the hospital they had mentioned surgery so I was freaking out... turns out I didn't need to freak.  They popped it back into place while I was gone and was sooo much better than I expected.

All in all it was an exhausting night and I have to be up in five hours to take him to a few appointments.... but I would say that was pretty darn lucky it wasn't worse.

See Matthew not lucky in bingo, lottery or any of the unimportant stuff... but we are pretty darn lucky.

Pictures from the iphone to come.
